As the year draws to a close, now is a good time to not only reflect and make any redirection plans necessary, but to take stock as well. I decided to address the mess that is my pantry this morning – taking stock, reorganizing, making plans to use the bounty of spices & sauces I’ve got, and chucking anything that is out of date or doesn’t serve me. Like shrimp paste. Whyyyy did I have 2? Who needs 3 bottles of Worcestershire?? Apparently me? 😆

Festive Season carries on

Mostly blind taste testing thanks to a Japanese snack crate we were gifted. Not only were these all delicious, the exercise of trying to figure out just what we were tasting v what Google Translate made out as the flavor name is fun. 😁🤓

Spent the day so busy stuffing my face with amazing Italian food made by a good friend – and attempting to entertain a very easily amused baby – that I all but forgot to take any kind of picture. Luckily, I remembered to snap something before starting the long waddle home. And waddle it was. 🎄🥃🥬🥯🥨🍗🍝🤤🤤🤤

Whatever you celebrate at this time of year, I wish you a belly full of delicious for the sake of deliciousness foods, as much of the festive feeling as you can muster, and a peaceful transition into 2021. 🥂

Holiday 2020 cookie spread

December 22, 2020

This is new and different – and not my favorite. We *just* got rental e-Scooters in Qatar (no way they stand up to Summers’ heat), and they’re kinda everywhere in the Pearl. Left in random spots on the sidewalks, crowding pedestrians, menacing ankles, strollers and waitstaff alike.

Hoping things calm down a bit when the newness wears off.

Also from that walk:

I can’t take credit for today’s pics, but they were too cute not to share. The only pics I took today were food-related, one of which I’ll be sharing soon(ish).
