This aint diet food. Potato and Carrot Duck Hash, cooked in … wait for it … liquid gold (duck fat). So rich, so ducky.

It hadnt ever occurred to me that one can peel a pumpkin with a vegetable peeler until watching a pumpkin pro do so on Food Networks Halloween Wars. Until today, Ive been using a cleaver to peel my squash because thats how I roll.

Our Big Apple souvenir – a Dalek made out of ARC-welded motorcycle parts scrap metal by the artists at Metal Park. We picked it up at Bryant Park, where the Holiday Shop kiosks had just opened (along with an ice skating rink). Too bad we didnt have more time to explore the NY Public Library – the original toys the Pooh characters are based on were there, along with the Gutenberg Bible and Jack Kerouacs harmonica.

Subway sculpture. This was just one of the mini scenes portrayed in bronze throughout the terminal depicting everything from subway workers and patrons to fat cats, political figures and city officials.
