First day back in town, and already out taking pictures. No rest for the wicked, I guess. Spider Monkeys taken at Zoo Miami (formerly Miami Metro Zoo).

Hotel number 3 of 3… Much better, though for some reason, no Wi-Fi in the rooms.
Let’s see if coming home take two pans out today. Although it’s been great being in the office and having face time with boss lady for collaboration, I hope so. I miss my hubby, dogs, eating sensibly, having all my stuff, nail clippers & working out.

Hotel 2 of 3. After being shanghaied and extending my stay out to Friday, we found out the hotel I was staying at was booked. Since Jax has changed so much, it turns out that sounding great on paper hotel no. 2 was ghetto-adjacent. after a long day at work, the bed was clean and horizontal, so I lived right through it.

Taken in the conference room at work. There are more impressive pics to be had back there of pool cue prototypes, but some of the old trade show graphics have held up well. Case in point of Jax staying the same: I initially left this job 2 years ago. These trade show banners haven’t moved an inch since then.

This week I’ve been a slacker about posting. It’s not that I haven’t been taking pictures; more like they’ve been locked in my camera with no easy way out. You see, my simple 3 day business trip has grown out of hand and I’ve been Shanghaied and press-ganged into the mafia, almost never to bee seen again. Already it’s hard to remember Miami’s balmy shores. Jacksonville looks completely different, yet in many ways it’s stayed exactly the same. Today’s (Monday) picture was taken from cruising altitude from the window of the plane going from Fort Lauderdale to Jacksonville.

Label makers are one of the best inventions ever for someone as anal-retentive, organization-oriented and office supply-obsessed as I am. Apparently I’m also quite fond of hyphens.
Oh, and they make great a great vehicle for sentiments that make one smile while sitting chained to their desk for 8 hours a day. It makes the grounding go over a little easier when I come up for air to see what the rest of the world is up to.
