It doesn’t look like it would be that comfortable to live in.

Most definitely not now, since they blew the walls in an effort to render the castle (and its strategic advantage) unusable by the enemy. A family did briefly live in the tower you see in the 1600s, but by all accounts the laird spent most of his time at other castles.
