🤦♀️ This is a lesson on measuring more than twice, cutting once. After cutting all the pieces for the 18th c. corset I’m making, hand sewing the boning channels (over 70 of them), attempting a couple hand done eyelets, cutting & sanding the bones and starting to piece the panels together, I noticed something … 2 of my panels were definitely backwards. So, not thinking, I ripped, flipped & re-sewed those 4 panels (2 of each). Cool. … And then I went to re-fit, discovering that I now needed to re-re-do two of the flipped panels + flip one of each of the other two. I’d made exact copies of my corset halves – not mirror images. Whelp, they say you only make such a mistake once …
